A Birth Doula is someone who supports you physically and emotionally - prenatally, during your birth, and immediate postpartum. We provides resources to help you: learn tools;  write your birth plan; learn your available options for birth and after; and, most importantly, allow you to feel supported and prepared as you bring your child into this world. Our scope of practice is physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual support. We are on-call for you until you have your baby and advocate for you to give birth in the environment that works best for you. We are not medical professionals, and do not provide any medical or treatment advice, but focus and support you throughout this amazing transformative moment in your life.

As your Birth Doula, our doulas brings their education and warm support to navigate the journey with you; answering any and all questions you have.  Our intention, by working with you and your family or support structure, is to provide the people closest to you with  the resources and tools to navigate pregnancy, birth, and after birth with as much ease and connection as possible. This is a magical transitional period for the entire family, and it is our dream that with education, support, and love, all can truly experience the magic of the time together. 

Doula life is fulfilling and rewarding, but it’s a tough act to balance with mamahood. In order to ensure the best care for all our clients, we limit the number of births each month to ensure the most premium care per family we can provide. In case of an emergency, we provide back up coverage for all Birth Doula Clients.

We ideally meet 1-2 times before birth where we get to foster our relationship, and create a birth plan. In these meetings, we will prepare birth expectations, discuss possible scenarios for your laboring day, roll play labor and pushing positions, and plan how we will best work together to support the birthing person. We will make sure you have all necessary resources provided.

Once you are 38 weeks, we are on call for you until birth. We labor together, where our doula supports you in many ways - including comfort measures  that make it a more easeful experience. Depending on what helps you relax, our scope includes things like emotional and physical support, massage, rebozo, acupressure stimulation, essential oils, yoga positioning, education, personal experience, and more! Each Birth is unique and special, and we tailor our support to you and your family’s needs.

We have experience with hospital, birth centers, and home births. We will support all forms of birth. We have experience working with Bradley Method, Hypnobabies, and Hypnobirthing parents. 

After birth, we will come to your home for one visit to help support you with breastfeeding, baby, and reflect on your birth journey. This time, whether its your first baby or your fifth, is a journey in and of itself and we are here to provide support and guidance to you and your (now larger) family.
